Tanner in time out

Tanner has hit the terrible twos a little early. No is his favorite word. Today, Dad told him to talk a little nicer and so Tanner said no in a very soft nice voice instead of yelling it.

Derek's Poor little mouth

Derek has been having a rough time with his mouth. He got an enormous canker sore that made his cheek swell up like he had a huge wad of gum in his mouth. It took about

a week to finally go away. He was barely better in time to eat Thanksgiving dinner.

We had a fun last few days remodeling our little bathroom off our bedroom. We knocked out the wall, added a new sink and new floor. Derek had a lot of fun helping me lay down the floor. We got a piece that we had cut in and I said perfect...Derek said perfecto that's how you say perfect in
Chinese....or maybe in Los Angeles. We got it all in and it actually worked. I had fun doing the work. Jessie had fun buying new everything. It's so nice having the bathroom back. The bathroom is so small I couldn't get any full bathroom shots.

Happy Halloween

We had a great Halloween. Derek has an obsession with the crossing guard so that's what he wanted to be for Halloween. All his friends told him he wasn't very scary, but he was still so excited about his costume.

Fall Fun

We had a lot of fun going to the park with a bunch of friends and raking leaves to jump in. Tanner wanted nothing to do with the leaves and just wanted to go down the slide the whole time so he wasn't very happy when I put him in the pile for a picture.

Winter comes early in Idaho!!

October 12th it snowed all day. Not much stuck but it helped us remember what we're in for in a few weeks! Derek got hand-me-downs from my friend...hence the suit.

A face even a mother has a hard time loving!

The only pictures we seem to take of Tanner are when he's covered in food. I guess I'd rather take a picture of him than clean him up.

Crazy Hair Day

A not-so-much VACATION

Dave was happy to go back to work after all the projects I put him through around the house for his vacation. He knocked out a cement pad we had in the backyard so we can have a bigger garden next year. 2 days of back-breaking work and 6 truck loads of cement to the dump - it wasn't as easy of a project as we first thought it would be. But Derek had fun loading his dump truck and going to the dump with Dad. Tanner was so sad that he couldn't go. We figured we lowered Grandma and Grandpa's truck value quite a bit (if that was possible) with all the dents and scratches we put in the bed with the cement.

Trip to Utah

We went to Salt Lake for Conference. Aunt Kelly watched the boys while we went to Saturday morning's session in the Conference Center.

Derek's 6th Birthday!

Derek had a lot of fun at his party. We had 8 little boys and a lot of chocolate cupcake crumbs here. We had a treasure hunt / obstacle course with street signs (since Derek is obsessed with street signs right now.) It was loads of fun!

Rainy Spud Day

Grandpa Boo Boo was so excited that he got to come to Spud Day - Even in the pouring rain! Tanner learned fast to run after all the candy that was thrown at the parade.

Tanner The Water Rat

Tanner is addicted to the hose. It doesn't matter what the temperature is if the hose is on, or if the sprinkler is going he thinks he needs to be in it. He cannot make it through a whole day without having to change his clothes. His diaper is always 25 pounds after his adventures too.

School Time

Derek started school on Thursday. I was so excited to hear all about his day when he got home and all he would say is "It was just a long day at school." His teacher is Miss Bell and it's her first year teaching. He's really excited. Today we told him he was going to school every day this week and he said "And do you know what the best part is? No breaks!" We'll see how he feels in a few months!

Gone Campin'

We decided we couldn't go a whole summer without going camping at least once. We had so much fun. Tanner was so excited about the smoke from the campfire and the boys both loved going down by the reservoir. As for Dave and I we love camping just for the dutch oven cooking!

The 2 -year-old reach

Tanner is into everything. Dave came into the kitchen and caught him helping himself.

Fun with Cousins

Derek is going to have a hard time now that all the cousins are gone. He’s had so much fun with them. He liked playing at the spray park in Rexburg and walking through the gardens at the college.

Tanner got to meet Grammie for the first time yesterday. He has started to say car and Spongebob.
Tanner also started sleeping in a big twin bed. He’s such a big boy!
Tanner went to nursery for the first time today. He did okay, until he realized I had left him. Then he was sad. But we went back for snacks and Tanner ate and sat in his chair just like a big boy. I’m sure he’ll get used to it and be excited about going every week.

One fun weekend!

We had a fun weekend. Derek wanted to have a "slubber" party with me so we slept out in the living room and watched Spongebob together. On Saturday we all went out to Wolverine Canyon and had a picnic. It was a lot of fun.

I guess I'll finally start a blog. We have way too much fun, for the world to miss out on.
